Temporary Tattoos

How long do For Now temporary tattoos last?
On average three to five days. They last longer on dry skin than on oily skin and they won't last as long if they get rubbed by your clothing. For best results, your skin should be clean, dry and free from oils or moisturizer.

How long do I have to wait for the colours to dry?
The colours will dry on your skin in about three minutes.

How safe?

Do For Now temporary tattoos contain PPD?
No. The serious problems with 'black henna' temporary tattoos (especially in Spain and Greece) widely reported on TV and in the newspapers, are caused by allergic reactions to the chemical para-phenylenediamine (PPD). PPD is added to henna to make the stain black instead of the usual reddish-brown colour. Products containing PPD should never be applied to the skin and it is safer to avoid ‘black henna’ tattoos completely. There is no PPD in For Now products.

Are For Now colours safe for use on sensitive skin?
Yes. All the colours are water-based and approved to EU and FDA cosmetic standards. In the very unlikely event of irritation, the tattoo should be washed off immediately with soap and water

How do they come off?

How do I remove a For Now temporary tattoo?
By gently rubbing it with a face cloth, soap and warm water. For Now temporary tattoo colours don't go into your pores – they stay on the surface of your skin, so they can be rubbed off without a trace when you want to remove them. The longer they have been on, the more you need to rub them to take them off.

Will For Now temporary tattoos come off when I have a shower or go swimming?
No – not if you take a little care. For Now colours are very water resistant, so they stay on as long as you don't rub the tattoo when it is wet. Pat gently with a towel to dry – don’t rub.

Glitter Tattoo Care Instructions

• Your Glimmer Tattoo is 100% Toxic Free and Hyp-Allergenic.

• Your Glimmer Tattoo should last 3 to 7 days. This depends upon your skin type and maintenance.

• Your Glimmer Tattoo is water proof but it is weak when subjected to prolonged time in the water (swimming or taking a bath) so after such activities pat dry the area, do not scrub/scratch with towel.

• When you shower or bathe try not to rub directly on your Glimmer Tattoo.

• Never apply alcohol based oil or lotion in the area of your Glimmer Tattoo.

• Should you wish to remove your Glimmer Tattoo simply use lotion or any oil based product.

• Please be mindful that you have a very beautiful Glimmer Tattoo so take extra care of it.

Helping a Face Painter

The day arrives and you want to help paint faces what should you do? After all its easy, its just some paint, sponges and brushes isn't it?

Actually nothing could be further from the truth.

A good face painter will have trained for hours and hours, perfecting their skills. Face painters also learn about hygiene. Each sponge (or half sponge) will only be used once per session (then washed in a machine at 60 degrees). Their brushes will be cleaned and sterilised. The paints the face painter uses are specialist face paints, they will be kept clean and not all brown muddy looking (unless it is the brown face paint!).

The face painter will know their own kit, what works and what does not work and how to treat the equipment. The face painter will have invested a lot of money in their equipment /insurance/ training.

The best thing you can do to help a face painter is to organise the queue, make sure the face painter is supplied with drinks, and keep the children away from the equipment (no finger dipping in the paints!).

Remember, the face painter is there to paint faces, not crowd manage, so please NEVER ask a face painter can you help by "painting a few faces".

Please also note that yes you can buy "face painting kits" but these do not come with one essential ingredient, Experience.

After all you would not buy a few tools and say you are a trades person would you?
